A NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Friends,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Season. The Auxiliary is jumping into 2009 feet first! Next Thursday, the 15th is our first General Meeting of ’09 and it’s our Annual Chili Dinner. This is always a really fun meeting and one you don’t want to miss. This year it will be held at the home of Amy Chisholm. Thank you Amy for ALL hats you are wearing this year!
At the end of January the Nominating Committee will be slating our new Board for 2009-2010. At the Chili Dinner you will vote for two members to serve on this committee. Please be thinking of two members you would like to help select YOUR Board for next year. (The only requirement to serve on the committee is that you are a paid active member.)
We want to know how this year in the Auxiliary has been for you. We would love to hear from ALL of you…Sustainers that means you too, please! An email will follow that has a very brief survey attached. Please let us know what you have enjoyed and what we can improve. We have been so lucky over the past few years to have gained such incredible new members, not to mention all of our fabulous “seasoned” members and sustainers who have stuck around! We want to keep you all happy AND involved. Thank you for your time and thoughts.
Please read on to learn about all the other exciting happens going on in the Auxiliary. I hope to see you all at the Chili Dinner on the 15th! (Evite to follow.)
Best,
Kathryn Rodrigue

2009-2010 AACA BOARD
Are You Willing to Serve?
We are preparing the 2009-2010 AACA Board and would like to know your interest level in serving. There are a variety of opportunities to participate in AACA with different levels of time commitments, skills needed, and energy required. Whether you are new to the organization or a more seasoned veteran, we would like to determine how you would like to volunteer with the Cancer Auxiliary.
The Board Positions are listed below. In addition to the Board, there are a variety of other opportunities for serving in a leadership capacity – everything from managing the notecards to researching new volunteer opportunities for members. Please fill out the attached “Willingness to Serve” form and email it to Alison Bracewell McCullick at amccull@uga.edu no later than January 21. Please put “AACA” in the subject line. If you have specific questions about a particular position, please feel free to contact Kathryn or Alison.
