AACA October 2008 Newsletter

FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Friends,

September kept us all on our toes with lots of Auxiliary activities! It was great to see many of you at our first Auxiliary Night at Allen’s and the September General Meeting. I would especially like to thank Andree Terry who was our guest speaker at the meeting. She has an amazing story! Don’t forget to help support her business “Andree’s Essentials” located on Price Avenue. You will LOVE her products!

We all know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but did you know: According to the American Cancer Society one in eight women will get the disease. The ACS says almost 180,000 women found out they had breast cancer last year. More than 2 Million are living with the cancer, or have survived it. Sadly, more than 40,000 will die from the disease each year. This is why it is so important to be “breast aware for earlier detection”. So grab a “buddy”, remind each other of self exams and mammograms and continue to “think pink”!

There are many exciting things going on in the Auxiliary. Please read on to find out the latest news and how you can become more involved. Thank you for your continued support of our Auxiliary!

I look forward to seeing you all at Dancing on the Lawn on Friday, October 17th!

Best,
Kathryn Rodigue
AACA President
